We will set up your servers to automatically back up your data to a remote location on a daily basis. There is an initial one time setup fee and then monthly storage costs based on the amount of data you have.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
Which files to backup - Data is the lifeblood of an e-commerce site. This data lives in many places on your server. We can back up the data you know about, and even help you find and protect data you may not have even known you had.
Which files to exclude - Operating system and program files are often already stored elsewhere and do not need to be backed up with your data. Excluding unnecessary files can save you storage space and money.
Data Retention - This is the amount of time that you will want to keep your data. A good rule of thumb is at least 30 days. Some businesses choose 60 or 90 days. Of course the longer you keep your data the more storage you will use.
Databases - If you have a database then daily backups may not be enough for you. We can make a replica of your database on our servers which is updated in real time. In the event of a hardware failure you will still have all of your transactions.
